The Norma Jean Anderson Civil Rights and Academic Achievement Award is presented as part of the on going work toward excellence in education for all students in an environment free of systemic privilege based on race and class. A school free of racism, classism, prejudice and discrimination promotes safety, personal growth and academic achievement for ALL students.
