Discussion topics wil include:

* Examples of acute & chronic illnesses in children
* Educational impact on childhood, including:
* Disease-specific effects
* Medication and/or treatment side-effects
* Absenteeism
* Indirect Implications
* School Re-entry
* Critical Transition Periods

There will also be a discussion of the role of the school in supporting the children and possible accomodations to include on a 504 or IEP.
