The Amherst School Committee will meet in joint session with the Amherst Select Board at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 to appoint an Amherst community member to the open seat, which will expire after the next town election on April 3, 2012. The appointee will also serve as a member of the Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee.

Those interested in being considered for the open seat should submit a statement of interest by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2nd. Please include a summary of qualifications, experience, and reasons for interest in serving on the School Committee. Submissions can be submitted either by email or in hard copy. Email submissions can be made to Debbie Westmoreland, Assistant to the Superintendent, at westmorelandd@arps.org or to Debra Roussel, Select Board Secretary, at rousseld@amherstma.gov. Hard copy submissions can be dropped off at the Superintendent's Office, located in the Amherst Regional Middle School at 170 Chestnut Street, or at the Select Board Office located at Amherst Town Hall.
