The Counselors at ARMS will be presenting an educational talk/discussion session for the benefit of parents of middle school. The topic of the first talk will be on the social-emotional development in early adolescence and will be given on Thursday, November 19 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Middle School Library.

A couple of reminders for Seniors applying to colleges:

1. If you are applying early, submit your Common App ASAP so Guidance can send your supporting materials.

2.  Be sure to complete your FERPA.

3. Be sure to open your Common Application account and enter your colleges.

4.  Be sure to enter your colleges in Naviance.

Did you know there are ARHS pottery students making bowls to support the Amherst Survival Center's Empty Bowls supper (coming in January).  Kudos to these budding artists who do a public service at the same time.  Kudos also to Ms. Hannah Hartl, who coordinates the project for ARHS

The ARHS Clubs Fair will be held on Thurs, Oct 29 at lunch outside the cafeteria. This will be an opportunity for 9th grade and new students to find out about the clubs offered this year at ARHS. You can find the list and additional information about ARHS Clubs here.

The event will be held in downtown Northampton at 2 PM on Sat, Oct. 31 and is presented by Amherst High School STAND and Calling All Crows State Radio.  If your photogenic teen didn't get their photo taken for the yearbook, etc. get them all gussied up and over to room 17 between 10am-noon next Thursday 10/29.

Beginning this Friday, the two Amherst Cumberland Farms stores will donate to ARHS 20 cents for every cup of coffee or ‘chill zone’ (fountain drink) sold from now thru December (with a cap at $2,000.00). This event will be kicked off this Friday, October 23rd, at the Cumberland Farms location on Belchertown Rd. from 3:00-4:00pm.

We need your help for 2 hours.  We will be at the Stop&Shop this weekend, Saturday 10/24 (10 am - 6 pm), Sunday 10/25 (10 am - 6 pm), and Monday 10/26 (3 pm - 7pm) signing up shoppers for the BonusBucks program.
 

Winter Sports Registration Forms - All forms are on the ARHS website, under the "Sports - Registration Information." You are encouraged to print your forms prior to the Sports Registration evening and bring them with you, completed & signed, with your participation fee.

Winter Sports Registration Night is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10th at 5-6:30pm @ ARHS Gym.

The Amherst Education Foundation (AEF) raises quite a bit of dough that is given directly to our local public schools for programs that they could not otherwise afford.
